INNOVATIVE. PROVOCATIVE. HILARIOUS. WOMEN.

The All Jane Comedy Festival is a celebration and showcase of the funniest, smartest and most original women working in comedy today. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, discover and promote the best and most unique women in comedy.

This highly curated festival aims to showcase a wide range of styles and perspectives among women in comedy while guaranteeing that every show – and every performer – delivers top notch comedy.

Curious Comedy Theater, a non-profit comedy theater in Portland, Oregon, is proud to produce this all-women comedy festival now heading into its fifth year. The festival takes place in early fall each year in Portland and has plans to tour the Best of the Fest around the country and globe.

Today, women still represent only 17-19% of the comedy industry. Women are sorely under-represented in high profile comedy festivals, in writing rooms and in television appearances. Industry representatives explain this discrepancy by claiming quality women comedians are hard to find. All Jane was created to help bridge the gap between women comedians, audiences and industry decision-makers.

This year’s All Jane women’s comedy festival will take place October 5-9, 2016, at Curious Comedy Theater and other venues in Portland, Oregon.

The line-up includes nationally and internationally recognized stand up comics, improvisers and sketch groups as well as extraordinary local talent. Women comedians also have an opportunity to meet and work with each other, share stories of their challenges and successes, and trade ideas on how to navigate this tricky business.

In previous years, we've brought you CAMERON ESPOSITO (Take My Wife, Same Sex Symbol), PHOEBE ROBINSON (2 Dope Queens, You Can't Touch My Hair), LAUREN LAPKUS (Orange is the New Black, The Characters, Comedy Bang! Bang!), PAGE HURWITZ (executive producer of Last Comic Standing), ALICE WETTERLUND (Silicon Valley, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates), APARNA NANCHERLA (Comedy Centeral, CONAN), EMILY MAYA MILLS (Orange is the New Black, Children's Hospital, Parks & Recreation), NAOMI EKPERIGIN (Braod City writer), and dozens of other resounding voices from the next wave of the 21st century comedy.
