All Jane Comedy Festival and Curious Comedy present DeAnne Smith with Irene Tu and Lez Stand Up's Kirsten Kuppenbender as the headlining and opening show of the 2017 All Jane Comedy Festival taking place October 11-15th at Curious Comedy Theater.
DeAnne Smith has performed all over the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Iceland Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs Montreal and Chicago to name a few. She’s also been on TV in four countries, including on Last Comic Standing NBC, The Late Late Show on CBS, Canada’s The Comedy Network and CBC, Australia’s Channel 10 and ABC, and UK’s Sky TV.
The Montreal Gazette says DeAnne is “fresh, cutting…one of the finest wits in the country.” The UK’s Telegraph calls her “Smart. Very funny. Effortless charm lets her get away with murder.” She’s never actually murdered anyone.
Irene Tu is a Chicago-born, San Francisco-based stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. Named one of the Bay Area's "11 Best Stand Up Comedians" and a "Woman to Watch" by KQED, she has opened for comedians such as W. Kamau Bell, Hari Kondabolu, Aparna Nancherla, and Gary Gulman. Irene has also been featured in SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Riot LA, and on VICELAND and Seeso (RIP). Kirsten Kuppenbender is a Portland based powerhouse with a heart made of precious metal. She's a comedian, she's an actor and she is the visionary of a comedic revolution. In addition to her brilliant stand up and hosting skills, she is The Founder and Producer of Lez Stand Up: a Portland-based, all-queer, feminist comedy collective and showcase which performs up and down the West Coast. You may have seen her in the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, All Jane, Funny Women Festival LA and more recently when she opened for Micheal Che.
